Revenge of the Sith Padmé Outfits

The final installment!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 'Leia Buns' Cloak "Ani, I'm pregnant."

In a time of increasing danger and violence, Padmé must take great care not only to protect herself, but to protect the secret of her marriage. When meeting her clandestine husband, then, she wears a rich, dark cape that covers her completely. The dark cloak not only helps her blend into the shadows, but its volume hides her pregnancy. Underneath the cloak, Padmé dons the Black Beaded Dress, a subtle gown that also helps her remain inconspicuous. But despite this need for secrecy, Padmé manages to add a characteristic flair to the outfit, in the form of a beaded brooch on her left shoulder and a mottled lining inside the cloak. Padmé's look is further accented by her heirloom suspensas dangling from her ears and her elaborate Naboo hairstyle. My opinion: I love this outfit! Her Universe needs to make earrings like these. I also like how Leia unknowingly wore Nubian hair when she wore the buns. :)
The Veranda Nightgown "It was only a dream."

Relaxing in her apartment at night, Padmé wears a steel blue silk-satin nightdress with waterfall drapery in the back. The elegant gown is accented by touches of silver: a small silver tiara, a silver brooch, and light silver pearls.
My opinion: So beautiful! I would never be able to sleep in it, though. The pearls on my arm would make me feel constricted.

The Revelation Gown  "Have you ever considered that we may be on the wrong side?"

Padmé dons a heavy purple velvet cloak with a double yoke for a meeting with a group of anti-Palpatine senators, including Bail Organa and Mon Mothma. Not only is her intricately beaded and embroidered gown appropriate for the formality of the meeting, but the size of the cloak hides her pregnancy which is unknown to most senators.
My opinion: I like this one a lot, too. The sleeves are sparkly! The hair isn't my favorite.

The Blue Linen Dress "You expect too much of yourself."

Padmé wears this beautiful gown under her 'Leia Buns' cloak, and while in her apartment. The simple gown is made of navy blue linen and accented by a beaded black necklace and an elaborate jet belt. The belt, however, does not encircle Padmé's waist, but decorates the front of the gown only. Padmé sometimes dons a black lace shawl over this dress as well
My opinion: I love this one, too, along with the hair.

The Green Robe "We cannot let this turn into another war."

To meet both Obi-Wan and a group of senators in her apartment, Padmé chooses to wear an elegant green velvet robe. Both done in vivid purple, the thick sash around her waist and her ubiquitous insignia etched into the velvet add a striking color contrast to the gown. The wide silhouette of the full skirt is matched by a full hood on top, and the gown is completed by a jeweled brooch on the chest.
My opinion: I used to not be able to stand this dress, but now I love it. And the hair. :)

The Aqua Nightgown "Anakin, I'm afraid."

While watching the death of the Jedi Temple, Padmé wears a soft, flowing nightgown accented by embroidered Naboo designs, beaded gauntlets, tiny shells, and waterfall drapery flowing off the shoulders in the back.
My opinion: I love this one, too! The headband is really beautiful.

The Final Senate Appearance Dress "So this is how liberty dies...with thunderous applause."

In her final appearance in the senate, Padmé wears a gorgeous, rich, and layered gown of purple velvet. The gown is complimented by a circular hair piece and three intricate ornaments worn on the crinkled 'tabard.'
My opinion: I don't really like this dress. This may, in part, be due to which scene it is worn in. I do like the purpleness of it.

The Peacock Gown

Meeting with other senators to discuss Palpatine's increasingly tyrannical rule, Padmé wears a formal ensemble consisting of a pleated underdress, a velvet cloak and an intricate headress with snood.
My opinion: Eeew. Eeew. Eeew. I don't like this dress. At. All.

The Dressing Gown "I don't believe you....I can't."

Worn when Obi-Wan comes to inform Padmé of her husband's apparent fall to the dark side.
My opinion: Padmé manages to look so beautiful, even early in the morning. I love this (and the hair!).

The Sleeveless Outfit "You're going down a path I cannot  follow."

When Padmé rushes off to Mustafar to find Anakin, she wears an action-oriented outfit in shades of brown. And while her ensemble is geared towards movement, it also is geared towards her pregnancy. The leather harness crossing Padmé's chest help ease her back pain while her tall boots contain cushioned inserts.
My opinion: I don't like it. The first time she really gets to show off her pregnancy, it's not even in a pretty dress. Am I the only one who gets a sudden thought of "She's not wearing any pants!" whenever you see her run across the landing platform on Mustafar? That's what goes through my mind every time I watch the movie for like three seconds.

The Hospital Gown "There is good in him....I know there is."

After spending so much of her life in an incredibly elaborate wardrobe, Padmé wears only a simple white hospital gown during her final moments.
My opinion: Who cares? I don't really spend that much time looking at this dress. I mean, really.

The Water Gown

Following her untimely death, Padmé's body is returned to Naboo for a solemn evening funeral. She is dressed in a blue-green underdress and a heavily-sequined cloak, and her hair is adorned with delicate flowers in a fittingly lovely tribute to the former queen.
My opinion: It's sooooooooo beautiful! It really is a fitting gown for the burial of the Star Wars galaxy's favorite queen. It is kind of hard to see in the movie since I can hardly see anything at the point through my tear-blurred eyes.

Now that this is over, I'm going to have to start thinking about posts again. :3

In conclusion, I must say that I love most of the Revnege of the Sith dresses. Too bad it's such a sad movie.

Princess Leia

So, you know how Padme did all those posts about Padme's clothes? Well, I'm (Qui) gonna do one about Leia's!!! :D

So, lets start!

The Princess Gown
The most classic Star Wars outfit ever I'd say. Right next to the Darth Vader suit.
It is a traditional gown of the Alderaan royal family, as is the belt, and the hairstyle. The white color was meant to emphasize her purity.
I absolutely love this, and it matches Leia herself perfectly. Its not to girly at all, and perfect for ehr to move around in. I'd have to say that the top is my favorite part. I like the way it billows out over the belt. (And I LOVE the belt.) And then the hair, AHHH i want my hair to be able to do that.

White Ceremonial Gown:
This is the only other gown that Leia wore in ANH. With a similar cut (and belt) as the Princess gown, I can imagine that Carrie Fisher was growing really tired of the whole long white dresses thing. But this dress really is gorgeous. My favorite part is the sleeve/cap thingy. So flowyyyy.

Hoth Snowsuit
Leia's back in white!! How surprising...xD This is another outfit I really like. Its more practical than the others, since obviously pants are more practical that long dresses. It is in this outfit that she says perhaps my favorite line of hers ever..."Why you stuck up, half witted, scruffy looking nerf herder!" To which Han replies oh so smoothly, "Who's scruffy looking."

Bespin Gown:

I'm really not a fan of this outfit. Its probably my least favorite Leia outfit (Not counting the slave one.) In my opinion, the fabric the dress is made out reminds me of my brothers gross sweatshirt and the robe thingy over it looks like a hotel comforter. Thats just my opinion though. Moving on! PS: I love her hair though!!!

Bespin Jumpsuit:

We're back to white again! And meh its a jumpsuit. I don't have much of an opinion on this one. Other than she kinda blends into Lando's house or whatever.

End Dress:
Is it just me or does this gown look like the Princess gown with a few alterations?

NOTE: I'm not gonna do one for her disguise in the beginning of RotJ nor the slave outfit. I mean seriously, the slave outfit? Enough said.

Battle Outfit:
These pants are so.....80's. Thats the only way to describe them. I normally like this outfit, but looking at it in this picture i hate it...Whatever, on to my favorite outfit of Leia's!

Ewok Dress:

(Ewoks freak me out o.o) I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress!! Its so pretty and natural and rustic! And her hair, oh my gosh i want her hair. When my hair gets longer I'm going to have to dress up in this outfit and do that with my hair. :D

Anyway, whats your favorite outfit of Leia's?

Afterword:
So, on Sunday (as most of you know by now) I'm going to Florida, and I'm most likely not going to be able to post. So I'm going to try to write one before I leave and then give it to Padme so she can post it for me. Its going to be like the ones i did for Han and Anakin but about Obi! :D I love Obi and I don't know a single person who hates him!! (He's gonna be weirded out when he sees his Master fangirling about him.)

Bye guys! MTFBWY!

No Name...hehe

It's official; I'm auditioning for The Secret Garden on Saturday.

I'm really excited, but also nervous. I haven't had any time to work on my monologue, since I've been studying for my science final that I took yesterday. Christmas Break is HERE!!!!!!!!

I'm going to be acting as Jo March from Little Women for my audition piece. The following is the part that I'm doing.....
"I hate affected, niminy-piminy girls! I'm not a young lady and if turning up my hair makes me one, I'll wear it in two tails till I'm twenty!  I hate to think that I've got to grow up, and be Miss March, and wear long gowns, and look as prim as a China-aster! It's bad enough to be a girl, anyway, when I like boys' games and work and manners! I can't get over my disappointment in not being a boy; and it's worse than ever now, for I'm dying to go and fight with Papa, and I can only stay at home and knit, like a poky old woman!"
This is going to involve a great amount of acting, because I am very happy to be a girl and I make it my goal to act like a lady. But of all the March sisters, I am most like Jo. It's a toss-up. I can't wait to audition, though. My teacher is going to be very proud of me. I am going up against at least 100 other people and we're all trying to get one out of seven spots--four guy roles and three girl roles.

On another note, I am COMPLETELY confused about the SW EU timeline. Can someone with more knowledge than me tell me what comes after Isard's Revenge? I had Jedi Search for the next one, but after reading reviews on Amazon that talk about Luke coming back to the Jedi after turning to the dark side has me confused. There's been no mention of him turning in any of the books I've read. Help?

Let's hope Qui gets that singing video sorted out or has a grand idea for a new post! Till next time,

Explanation

An explanation for why Padmé didn't post last Monday.

She and Anakin went to Tatooine to spend Thanksgiving with the Lars family. A lovely time was had by all, despite the fact that Padmé almost fainted several times due to the heat. It was good to get out of the smog-filled air of Coruscant. Padmé should be back posting this upcoming Monday.

In reality, I just didn't get around to posting. Sorry guys. So, to explain this, I decided to write a story. I think I'm going to slowly continue posting little "stories" about my fictional self when I have no inspiration for a post. Sorry, anti-fangirl people. You know who you are............

Look for Qui's singing post later today! I'm looking forward to it, since I've never heard Qui sing before.
