Auditions, Auditions, Auditions

Hey guys, Qui-Gon here!
Soon, I"ll be auditioning for a musical at the Lynden theater called, The Christmas Schooner.
It's ok if you've never heard of this musical, because most people haven't.

Basically, for the audition, I have to sing 16 bars of a Broadway song, and do cold reads from the script.
My dilema is that I don't know WHAT to sing!
I'm thinking something Rodger's and Hammerstien because the music in this play seems to be similar.
So, any suggestions?
And, what would you like me to write about first? Tips, tricks? Anything, just ask.

  1. I really wish I could help, but Broadway songs are not my strong suit.
You could sing something from Fiddler on the Roof, but that's not Rodger's and Hammmerstien.
I hope SOMEONE is able to help!
